Rep. Zach Wamp has been appointed to the U.S. Capitol Preservation Commission (CPC) by House Republican Leader John Boehner and Speaker Nancy Pelosi. This working commission oversees the historical interests of the Capitol Complex. The commission also is tasked with guiding the construction of the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC).

"It is an honor to be given this responsibility," said Congressman Wamp. "I look forward to seeing the CVC project to completion and working with my colleagues on the CPC to make sure the new visitor center provides a safe entry to the Capitol and enhances the experience of its visitors for decades to come."
