Flag Flown in Honor of Local Veteran
May 22, 2007

A veteran and retired Chattanooga sergeant is remembered at a school where he dedicated a lot of his time.
A U.S. flag was raised and a plaque presented in honor of Henry Cothern Sr. who was killed earlier this year.
Cothern spent time at Lakeside Academy raising the flag, which is why school, and elected officials, pledged to remember what he brought to the table. Cothern's son, Henry Cothern Jr. told us Congressman Zach Wamp had a flag flown over the White House on April 20th and had that very flag sent to the school. The flag will fly in Cothern's honor and the school plans to retire its old flag.
